Boys, we have our first playoff lock. Collin, to the surprise of no one that's been paying any attention for the past 8 weeks, has officially punched his ticket to the dance. Austin has the chance to this weekend, if he can build a 7+ point lead on ranks 5-9 gaggle crowd hovering at 8-10 points. TK is facing the very real possibility of being eliminated this week, though given his trading extravaganza last weekend I don't think that will be a big shock to his system. Mike is in decent shape, but not a sure thing yet, and then its just a scramble for the 4th spot with John Luke currently in possession. Should be a fun fight to the finish!

Standings Disclaimer

The tiebreaker procedures are, and have been for a few years now:

1. H2H Win: If two people are tied, whoever has a H2H advantage will be on top
2. Multi-Way H2H: If three or more people are tied, whoever has the best record in games against the people tied together is on top. ESPN does not calculate this correctly, and currenly my standings table doesn't either. I'm working on getting that built, but what does work is the Weekly Standings Simulator. This properly figures multi-way tiebreakers.
3. Points: If there's no H2H or Multi-Way H2H advantage, total season points is the tiebreaker.

So right now, for example, Ryan is listed as 6th but he's actually in 8th becuase he is 0-2 against Garrett and Tyler, while Garrett is actually in 6th for being 2-0 against Ryan and Tyler. I will keep working on getting that built into the regular standings tables correctly, its on my list. But in the mean time the Standings Simulator works and even includes little descriptions of the tiebreakers where they appear.

Recaps

The games this week have left me completely uninspired to do recaps. John Luke got a Top 5 with 106 points, like what? How? Collin and Mike just stole all the points this week, nothing to write about for the other 8 of us. But, I'd be remiss if I didn't keep an eye on the RECORD ALERT that is Collin's win streak. He's at 10 games now, a win this weekend against TK (kind of a given) and he'll tie the record. Then its up to ME, yalls savior and guardian since 2011, to put a stop to the madness. I will not fail you all (unless my team plays like they normally do).

Power Couples

I mean... if Garrett is getting wins with under 100 points then the universe is just begging us to accept this reality. I fondly recall the moment when Garrett looked to Collin in sorrow for being picked as his partner... and Collin's sadness from it. That's the last time I felt happy.
