Listen listen listen... I know we're all friends here and I really appreciate what you guys are trying to do, but to intentionally lose just to keep my playoff chances alive? That's above and beyond. Nathan over TK? Garrett over Austin? Just really a sweet gesture from you guys. Now, even your best efforts couldn't stop be from blowing it this week (sad) but hey I'm still in the Survivor pool thanks to the fuckin' Chad Jimmy G's Monday Night.
Collin, not one to share the riches, won both the top score bonus of the week but also the weekly challenge, with Tony Pollard edging out Mike's Patrick Mahomes, Jake's Jimmy Garoppolo, and Ryan's Davante Adams for highest scoring player of the week. I wish I could root against him this week but he's playing Mike and frankly I'm not sure I want to see him be successful either, so instead I'll just root for John Luke and Garrett.
Anyways before we get into it, I want to cover the matter of voting on our League Constitution. I've started uploading the draft onto this site (it will be transcribed onto it's own page under the "History" section) but none of it will be "official" until its ratified. In the mean time, here's how the recent issues put up for a vote were decided upon:
Votes
Switch to the FAAB Waiver System
7 votes "Yes", 3 votes "No"
FAAB Waiver System Annual Budget
7 votes "$100", 3 votes "$200"
Starting next year we will convert to a FAAB system of waivers. We don't need to worry much about it for now, but the change will happen, and our budget will be $100 per team. The specifics will be worked out later on, and incorporated into the constitution.
Keep Postseason Tiebreaker as Higher Seed
3 votes "Yes", 7 votes "No"
Conditional Switch to Tiebreaker Method
6 votes "Total Season Points", 3 votes "Bench Points for that Game", 1 vote "Other"
Ties in the Playoffs will be broken by total season points. Logic would say that "Total Season Points" would include the first round of the postseason if there was a tie in the MBB or Championship, but we can address that if someone disagrees.
IR Slot
9 votes "Yes", 1 vote "No"
Conditional Change
5 votes "Immediately", 5 votes "Next Season"
We will be adding an IR slot starting next season. Another discussion and vote will come regarding whether or not to do 6 bench spots and 1 IR slot, or 7 bench spots and 1 IR slot, but that's a discussion for a later date (and some analysis on bench usage that will come next week).
Keeper and New Manager Draft Rules
10 votes "Yes", 0 votes "No"
Straightforward here. These two pass. To recap, keepers retain their draft position no matter what happens to them in the regular season, and adding an IR player at the end of the year to use as a steal keeper is not allowed. Additionally, new managers (replacement or expansion) get last priority in their first draft. Probably/hopefully won't ever matter, but we have a rule for it now.
Late Buy-In Penalty Rule
8 votes "Yes", 2 votes "No"
Just don't be late. Yall know I blow you up with fantasy shit, I won't let you accidentally forget.
Playoff Hunt
With 4 games left, each team has the opportunity to win 8 more points. Collin can clinch his spot this week with either a win, a Top 5, or Austin and Tyler failing to gain points. Mike can clinch if he gets both a win and a Top 5
and if Austin and Tyler fail to gain any points. Nathan has to be perfect this week and hope for help to stay alive. The middle is muddy, and no one is really out of it yet, including Jake and Garrett, who are only one week out of 4th place, and John Luke, who could get there in two weeks.

John Luke 131.8 - 183.7 Collin (Game Score: 86.6)
I don't know if it was mercy or divine intervention, but clearly Collin's dud against me last week was a fluke because he's right back to his winning ways. Collin had THREE players break 30 points (Joe Burrow 34.7, Travis Kelce 35.5, and Tony Pollard 36.9) and put up a beautiful score without Kupp or his three bye-week players. I'm just gonna come out and say that this league is Collin's to lose. And if he does lose it I just hope it's not to Austin Tyler or Mike. Fuck those guys. JL honestly had a good game, and still got a Top 5 out of it. Josh Jacobs (21) and Najee Harris (27.6) both did well and the only weak spot in JL's lineup was a limp dick game from Kirk Cousins (1.2) but that was it. Hang your head high, John Luke, no shame in this loss.
Mike 114.26 - 132.84 Tyler (78.6)
An upset, albeit not the biggest of the weekend, was to the benefit of many as Tyler held Mike to neither a win nor a Top 5. George Kittle, who is severely missed by his former team, put up an impressive 24.4 to compliment 26.24 from Daniel Jones and 23 from elite place kicker TYLER BASS. Mike had his fair share of decent numbers; 35 from Mahomes, 22 from Deebo, another 21 from Olave, but Mike had four starters fail to break into double digits plus his kicker finish in the negatives. Also Mike, relating to your text in the group message, the last time you had a starter go negative (not counting a Bills defense in 2021 week 11) was Week 1 of 2021 when Aaron Rodgers put up -0.68 for Mike in a 100.06-point loss to Austin (174.28-74.22).
TK 102.96 - 123.84 Nathan (76.4)
I'd consider this the biggest upset of the weekend. TK came in comfortably in 3rd place, but a loss to a Nathan team that had only 3 points on the season coming in puts him well within striking distance of plenty of teams to knock him out. Nathan had big days from Derrick Henry (27.36) and Aaron Rodgers (23.08), but the blame rests mostly on TK's lackluster performance in failing to break 120 for only the 3rd time this season. Amari Cooper did have a huge game, putting up 31.3 points in the Brown's losing effort, but it wasn't enough and Nathan brings in what can at least be called a moral victory.
Jake 107.72 - 114.38 Ryan (75.8)
JG (33.42) gave it his best shot, but a slow day from Boyd (6.2) and Pitts (7.3) going down early to injury left too much to space for Ryan to keep his victory. This marks a rough loss for Jake, who clings desperately to his playoff hopes, but is a lifesaver for Ryan who now sits only 1 point out of a 4th place spot. Ryan won the season series 1-0 against Austin, but lost 1-0 to Tyler so he cannot rely solely on a tie going into the playoffs. Ryan, despite a tough remaining schedule, still has great pieces to work with like Josh Allen, Davante Adams, and David Montgomery, so he is by no means in trouble (yet). The same cannot be said for Jake, who needs to tiptoe the line of perfect to stay in the mix.
Austin 77.42 - 138.3 Garrett (58.0)
The third (and most satisfying imo) upset of the weekend came in this garbage performance between Garrett and Austin. Garbage actually isn't fair to Garrett, he did fine. Only 1 player failing to break double-digits and 2 that cracked 20 (Justin Herbert and Tee Higgins) for an all-around consistent game is nothing to scoff at, especially considering that Garrett is not out of playoff contention yet. Austin, on the other hand, was just awful. Two players going negative (Rondale Moore and Vikings D/ST) plus 2.5 from his WR1 and WR2 is just not going to do it, and it marks Austin's worse game of the year by 32 points. In fact, that's the first time since we've recorded by-player points that someone has had two players score below 0 points. So... good job Austin?
