Another week in the book boys. This week we saw an all-time scoring record get broken, Collin beating out Ryan for the weekly challenge by literally 0.0001 (see math below), and not one but two great matchups come down to the wire on Monday Night Football. Let's dive in and get this show on the road!

Efficiency Calculation and Winner

Some/most of you might be wondering "How is lineup efficiency calculated again? It was explained to us once but we didn't really care enough to pay attention" well don't worry, your humble and fearless leader is here as always to settle your tummies. Lineup Efficiency is a measurement of how close you are to a perfect lineup. A 100% means that you played all the best options available in your lineup. A 0% means you played all the worst options. This doesn't mean that you have to score 0 to get a 0%. A 0% means you set all the worst options available to you.

For example, this week Austin had the opportunity to score 130.98 points had he set his lineup correctly. The worst he could have done was 71.08. He scored 96.98, which is 43% of the way between 71.08 and 130.98, therefore his lineup efficiency was a 43%. In the grand scheme of things, lineup efficiencies hover around 75-80%.

So for this week's challenge, let's look at Ryan's efficiency: 194.98 is 97.30% of the way between his worst (61.68) and his best (198.68). For Collin, 143.82 is 97.31% between 42.66 and 146.62. There's the consolidation for your loss Collin, a nice little $10 prize.

    Ryan 194.98- Austin 96.98

How you like that belly full of white dog shit, Austin? I'd be more gentle on you if it was just Ryan going off, but the combo of him dropping 190 plus you not breaking 100 warrants the ridicule. You guys had common ground on one thing: RB2 (3.3 and 3.7 for Ryan and Austin, respectively). Everything else was a massacre. Ryan's WR duo of Davante Adams and Keenan Allen combined for 89.66 points, which is the most in recorded league history. The previous high was TK in Week 3 2019 who got 88 from Mike Evans (45) and... Keenan Allen (43). In the exact opposite extreme, Austin's two RBs combined for 10.9 and Austin went into Monday Night Football with 38.8 points (granted, he had 3 good players remaining but still). Austin's third consecutive and failure to get a Top 5 point puts him at the bottom of the league and scrambling to fix his problems before the season is a total wash.

    Tyler 150.9 - Nathan 112.48

Nice turnaround Tmo. After a weak 106.5 last week, Tyler got it together this week with a couple of 30+ point outings from Justin Herbert and Tyreek Hill. Mike Williams going down for the season hurts, but fortunately for Tmo he was a Flex play and can be replaced by any position. Nathan had a pretty subpar week all things considered, but 32.68 from Kirk Cousins keeps him a promising QB for the long term and a couple respectable WR outings from Amon-Ra (19.6) and Michael Pittman Jr. (16.7) are a glimmer of hope. Nate is just down bad on the RB front. Chubb and JK Dobbins both being big hurt has left Nathan starting Tyjae Spears in their wake and that's not the kind of talent that can make playoff runs, even with Josh Jacobs.

    John Luke 112.08 - Jake 152.66

I will admit, I expressed to John Luke (via Austin) that he was gifted a win this week with both Aaron Jones and Saquon being out, and I was very wrong. John Luke's 25.1 points from Deebo on Thursday Night Football was a great start, and then it pretty much fell apart. Derrick Henry only managed 20 yards on 11 carries for 2 points, and Bijan Robinson (10) had a tame week against a strong Lion's run defense. Jake, despite a second-straight weak game from Trevor Lawrence, had Amari Cooper (24.6) to match Deebo and got a huge 34 points from the Bills defense off of 5 turnovers and a TD. This marks Jake's best performance of the season and propels him to four points on the young season, while John Luke keeps his feet planted at 2.

    Mike 126.8- Garrett 129.06

The first of two great games that were decided in MNF, Garrett was down 47 with both WRs, flex, and kicker left to play. Mike sat steady with 126 thanks mostly in part to 26.3 from Brock Purdy and 24.5 from Zack Moss. At kickoff, Garrett was projected to win by 2.1, and we pretty much finished like that in an unexpected way. With 3:34 left and down by 10, the Rams drove down the field and threw a 1-yard touchdown to Tutu Atwell with 1:03 remaining on the clock. That last-minute score put Garrett over Mike and one failed onside attempt later and both games were over. Garrett improves to 2-1, but didn't get enough to claim a Top 5 this week so he stays at 3 points, putting him tied for 5th. In Garrett's defense, 129.06 would land him a Top 5 score 60% of the time, but not this week. Mike, like Austin, sits in the pointless club.

    Collin 143.82 - TK 145.78

The most exciting game of the week, TK looked to fight off 8th place Collin (8th place but also tied for 3rd, so that's a bit of hyperbole) in a game that saw each team carry a player into Monday night. Collin held a 3-point edge at kickoff with Dallas Goedert, so TK needed Joe Mixon to outpace Goedert by just enough to pull out the win. Both teams were already solidly in Top 5 range, so it was just the win that was up for grabs. TK wound up grabbing the lead in the 3rd quarter on a drive that ended in a Joe Mixon touchdown, but actually saw his lead melt away as the game went on as Mixon kept being tackled for losses throughout the second half. TK held on though, and didn't waste other big games from Patrick Mahomes (31.68) and Justin Jefferson (27.9). Collin may have lost, but 45.2 points from Raheem Mostert helped contribute to a Top 5 point to keep Collin well in the spotlight for competitive teams.
