Keeper Rules for the 2024 Draft

The 2023 mid-season vote to change the keeper rules was approved, but they will not take place until the 2025 draft, so this year the rules are the same as the last year. You will get one keeper and it cannot be the same player you kept last year. In the 2025 draft you get will get two and there is no restriction on keeping the same player year over year.

Now, to clear something up, if your team did NOT make the playoffs then your keeper options are based off of your team at the end of the regular season. This has been outlined on the Rules Page under Article V Section 4.A.ii.

If you added/dropped players from your team for the consolation bracket, those new players are NOT considered keeper options and, in the event a playoff team picked up one of the players you dropped (e.g. Tyler picked up Clyde Edwards-Helaire after Austin dropped him), you lose the option to keep that player. This rule is in place to keep the non-playoff teams from having a chance to scoop up lots of potential keepers when their season is over and their games don't matter.

If you have a player deemed ineligible, it is for one of three reasons (annotated next to the player in the tables):

1. Player was added from waivers and not started in a game
2. Player was kept by the same team in the 2023 draft
3. Player was drafted in the first round of the 2023 draft

Remember that the players draft position from the 2023 draft determines his cost, regardless of if he was dropped and added by another team off waivers.
