I mean fellas... what are we doing? Three scores below 100 in one week? I expect this from Austin and JL but you TK? What happened? Also snaps for Ryan for actually getting in the win column, against Austin too so he owns a tiebreaker for the season (gotta love that security from last place).
Also snaps to ME (obviously) for getting the weekly challenge thanks to a baller performance by Lamar Jackson on MNF. That's my first payday this year, and now only Austin and TK have yet to earn a bit of cash back on the season.
Even MORE snaps to me for not peppering you all with polls/questions so far this year. I really don't have anything to poll the group on yet either, it's nice to enjoy all our hard work as a league paying off by going 8-6. What I WILL say for this week though, is that we are rapidly approaching the halfway mark of the season and, notably, the Week 10 Gut Check. As a reminder, opponents for the Gut Check are decided the Tuesday before based on the standings (1 plays 2, 3 plays 4, so on). So if you all have losses left in you this season, better get them out now to set yourself up for an easier week 10 before the race to the finish over the last five weeks.

King of the Hill
And BOOM another one bites the dust. John Luke, I frankly commend you for even lasting until week 7, but your time has come. TK also picks up his second strike, so of the 7 remainders, 4 have two strikes and 3 have none. We can't let this be a runaway from Mike/Nate/Tmo yall lets shape up.
Recaps
John Luke 69.18 - 118.24 Jake
Yeah without Lamar this would have been a complete travesey of a matchup. Jake entered MNF with 74.8 points, but five tuddy's from the reigning MVP gave him a below-average-but-not-embarrassingly-so score. Sub-10 point games from Kamara, Tyreek, AND the legend Younghoe Koo is not how to win games, and it did not manage to land Jake a Top 5 this week so he only keeps pace on the middle of the pack, no ground gained. John Luke... well we don't really need to dwell on the topic do we? I thought he'd turned a corner but no, I was clearly wrong. 0.8 from DeVonta Smith, -2 from the Jets D. Yikes. Don't worry though JL, CMC may be back in Week 10. Maybe.
Collin 132.02 - 86.06 TK
I don't want to take away from Collin here, 132 is a fine game. Shoutout to Amon-Ra (on his way out for Mike's team, apparently) for 25, Josh Allen for 27, even James Conner came close to surpassing the 20 point mark. With Cooper Kupp and Tee Higgins in reserve, the move to trade St Brown for a stronger RB makes sense. The mid-season move for the .500 team may just be what pushes Collin into the playoffs once again. Now TK... you recall what I said last week? How you were in first place? And needed to focus and be composed? Yeah, well scoring 86 points isn't exactly what I meant. Like... Daniel Jones cannot be your guy?? I'm looking right now and there are literally better options on waivers just begging to be rostered. Just do better.
Ryan 137.64 - 93.48 Austin
Mike 116.64 - 144.6 Garrett
Ok ok Garrett is officially a Contender (TM), I'm sorry for ever not including you in that group. Do I want to see Mike, the 4 time champion, win? No certainly not, but Garrett also just won a ship.. so he's not exactly the underdog either. Pretty torn emotionally on this one to be honest. Mike had a sick week from his RBs, with both Saquon and Breece Hall scoring over 26 points along with 22 more from Kareem Hunt in the flex, but a fiver from CJ Stroud hurts, and neither WR breaking 10 is deadly. Garrett just strung together a nice game, highlighted by 33 from Baker Mayfield and another 28 from Joe Mixon. Garrett picks up his 10th win against Mike to tighten the all-time record to 10-14, but he's got #1 Tmo next week to deal with if he wants to stay in a playoff position. Mike, well Mike has John Luke so like... yeah.
Tyler 153.7 - 135.96 Nathan
GOTW goes to Tmo vs Nathan, and rightfully so given that even after the dust settled, these teams sit at #1 and #2 on the standings. Nathan can't catch a break yall. After being the victim of a Fuck You Game against Garrett just one week ago, he came within 2 points of doing it again this week. Any other schedule and Nathan would be 12-2 right now, which checks out as he leads the league in scoring with 141 PPG. Unfortunately for Nathan, Tmo put up the best score of the week off a 34 point game from Jahmyr Gibbbs and FOUR (rounding up) 20 point games from Kyler Murray, Kyren Williams, DK Metcalf, and AJ Brown. Nathan had some 20-pointers himself with Jalen Hurts, Justin Jefferson, and Derrick Henry, but just have to tip your cap to a 150 point outing from the man atop the standings. Nathan can get his revenge by stomping the ever living shit out of Austin this weekend.
Are You Better than the Georgia Bulldogs?
Woah absolute MASSACRE this week. TK, John Luke, AND Austin all fell short of surpassing the mighty Dawgs (go mf dawgs baby I know yall saw that Texas dub). Don't rest easy folks, the Dawgs could bite at any time.
